Apple Votive
MATERIALS

Apples or small pumpkins
Tea Candles
Utility Knife
Spoon
Lemon Juice

Directions:

If you are going to place the apple votive in the water, check how they float first. Do this by filling the pot you'll be putting them in and marking with
a dot the sides that stays up above the water.

Place a tea candle over the dot you have made and trace around its circumference with a utility knife. Inserting the knife vertically and as deep as the tea candle is tall.

Set aside the candle and cut the circle in sections and scoop out using the spoon.

Squeeze lemon juice onto the cut surface to keep the apple from turning brown and reinsert the tea candle.
Someday perhaps the inner light will shine forth from us, and then we'll need no other light.
~Johann Wolfgang von Goethe
Create Bergamot-scented candles that will glow all evening. Collect then thoroughly rinse seashells and add tea lights, removing out tins. Melt paraffin wax and carefully fill the seashells. Add two to three drops of Bergamot oil to the wax, while it is still soft and melted. The fragrance will rise with the heat of the flame. Other essential oils may be used.
