Halloween Luminaries
You need:
Glass jars,
orange green and black tissue paper,
lots of white glue,
easily bendable wire and some scraps of green felt.

First, tear the orange tissue paper into strips, about the height of your jar. Paint white glue onto the jar and stick the strips to the jar lengthwise(don't cover the neck of the jar yet)Cover the jar all the way around with two or more layers, then paint white glue over the whole thing.

Next tear the green paper into strips and wrap them around the neck of the jar. cover that in the glue and let dry.

Next take the black paper and cut pumpkin faces(this step is optional)glue them on the same way...

Now take your wire and wrap tightly around the neck of the jar, leaving several inches free at the beginning and the end. Wrap these loose ends around a pencil to make tendrils. Cut leaves from the felt and glue where appropriate. And voila! you have a pumpkin luminaria.

Fill the jar about 1/3 to 1/2 full of sand and insert a tea light or votive. I would suggest if you put these outside, to paint or spray on a weather safe clearcoat. This idea could be modified to use other designs, like blue or purple with moons and stars, or orange with black cats, use your imagination....

You can also fashion a handle with the wire and hang these in the trees.

Slow down and everything you are chasing will come around and catch you.

If you're giving a book as a holiday gift why not add a bookmark to  which you've added a few drops of essential oils. Try to choose  something that will appeal to most folks like Orange or maybe a  blend of Lavender and Tangerine. The Orange is great for kids.  Create a  bookmark for students adding oils to help them study, Peppermint,  Rosemary and Basil will help keep them alert. Add a bottle of the  essential oil so they can refresh their bookmark. Maybe spice oils  for a cookbook. The possibilities are endless.
