With twine, secure thyme sprigs at the base of a pillar candle, leaves pointing to the wick end, stems at base of candle, binding the cuttings tightly all around. When the candle is encircled, trim ends to be even with the base of the candle, so it will stand straight. A fresh table adornment!

Just a note of caution - make sure the candle doesn't burn down to the herbs, or your table decoration will go "up in smoke"!

When sewing a button onto your clothes, try double threading the needle first for a more secure hold. Use two separate threads so that if one breaks, the other will serve as a backup.
