2 cup flour
1 cup salt
1 teaspoon cream of tartar
tablespoons oil
1 teaspoon food coloring
2 cups water

Mix ingredients in saucepan stirring constantly over medium heat until dough leaves sides of pan. Remove from pan and knead for a few minutes. Store in tightly closed plastic container.

Starch is used as a binder in the production of paper. It is the use of a starch coating that controls ink penetration when printing. Cheaper papers do not use as much starch, and this is why your elbows get black when you are leaning over your morning paper.
