A Christmas Poem
Though this land faces its darkest hour
How blessed we are to see God's power
By faith in his Son
And not by sight
We all bathe in his glorious light

With mighty deeds and unseen hands
He strengthens the weak
And loosens the bands
He brings us through the days and nights
And puts our evil foes to flight

Now at this time when his story is told
We remember his love is more precious than gold
Or glitter, or presents,
Or manly delights
To set our hearts above the heights

And give praise to God
Come Christmas night.

Purple Passion
"A Christmas candle is a lovely thing; It makes no noise at all, but softly gives itself away; While quite unselfish, it grows small."
Eva K. Logue
