Trusting Eyes
Valentine for Grandchildren
My grandchildren,
An extension of my children, of me
The wonderment of their births
Still fills me with awe
The sight of them brings a special joy to my heart
No one can fill
Their innocense, their brillance, their beauty
Never ceases to amaze me,
Each time I look into their faces and see their love shining back at me
The hugs, the kisses, the tenderness of their skin,
the sweetest breath upon my face
The complete perfection of each of them
G-d's angels are all of them
Here on earth
And I call these earth-angels my grandchildren
And i am unequivically "NANA"

Nothing you do for children is ever wasted. They seem not to notice us, hovering, averting our eyes, and they seldom offer thanks, but what we do for them is never wasted.
Garrison Keillor
Pope Gelasius declared February 14 to be Saint Valentine's Day in 498 A.D.
