WHERE SEEDLINGS SPROUT
In a potting shed where peat moss clumps, and rakes
And trowels lean against the wall, a sonnet
Calls. Images spawn in sunstruck motes
Glinting beneath a frame of drying herbs
In a pungent world where growing things take wing.

Gardening Rule:
When weeding, the best way to make sure you are removing a weed and not a valuable plant is to pull on it. If it comes out of the ground easily, it is a valuable plant. ~ Unknown
Apple maggots are small, white caterpillar that tunnel into apples, deforming the fruits. To control them, destroy infested fruits and hang one maggot trap (red sphere coated with a sticky substance) in dwarf trees and 3 in standard trees.
