Where gardens grow
Lie wells of deep content
And peace serene;
The living joy of beauty, and
That sense
Of wealth which bloom and
Fragrance give.
They dwell with God for neighbor,
Those who live
Where gardens grow.
Where gardens grow,
Grow also splendid faith and
Courage high;
Brave hopes for glorious futures,
And the will
To gather noble lessons from the soil.
They work with God for partner,
Those who toil
Where gardens grow.
LENA PEEBLES
The best way to garden is to put on a wide brimmed straw hat and some old clothes. And with a hoe in one hand and a cold drink in the other, tell somebody else where to dig.
