Work with a healthy mature tree. It should be taller than you and well rooted. Greet and honour the tree, sit at the base of the tree with your back against the trunkconnect with the tree and let it teach you about being grounded and centred..with each breath, draw up healing power from Mother Earth throughout your being, and with each out breath, let stress and problems dissolve, being cleansed away by the Air around you.. feel nurtured and supported by the tree be one with the tree in this way for at least ten minuteswhen you feel very grounded, centred and balanced; stand up, turn around and face the tree...touch its trunk with your hands and give thanks.
Oak of Strength
Find a large, healthy and friendly Oak tree to work with. As you look at the Oak tree friend you selected, hold the palms of your hands on its trunk, and feel its strength, durability and power silently ask the tree to help you to learn your own strength withinthen when it feels right hug the tree feel yourself become one with the tree then ask the tree to help you receive Inner Guidance in response to these questions..In what way am I strong? How can I better connect with and work with my Inner Strength in daily life?
Eucalyptus of Beginnings
Work with a vibrant Eucalypt tree. Greet and honour the treesilently ask it to aid you in understanding Inner Birthings and Beginnings. Commune with the tree, feeling at one with it physically make contact with the Eucalypt in a way that feels comfortable with you and the tree: touch it with your hands, hug it, nestle in it or position yourself in some other way. Feel the energy of the Eucalypt flowing through your body, healing you.and focus on this for a short time. Notice how the energy of the Eucalypt is different from other types of trees, such as the Oak. Now focus on the Sacred Power of the Eucalypt tree to aid you in receiving Inner Guidance answers to these questions: "What new way of Being do I have to Birth in this point in my life? How should I begin this and bring it into manifestation?" When you feel complete with receiving guidance, separate from the tree.. face it and feel yourself radiating vitality and power to Birth new beginnings in your life. When you feel complete with this. Touch the Eucalypt and send it love as a thanksgiving.
Willow of Transformation
Find an old Willow tree, greet and honour it, silently ask it to help you get a better understanding of the Power of the Crone..that of ending, releasing and transformation. ask the Willow to teach you about the cycle of Death and Rebirthask the Willow to aid you in getting Inner Guidance to these questions: "What do I need to end in my life? How do I go obout this transformation?". When you feel complete in receiving guidance from the Willowface it and feel yourself releasing and Transformingto finish the meditation, touch the Willow and send it love as a thanksgiving.
It may take more than one attempt to attune fully with the trees. Perservere, the rewards are definitely worth waiting for. Do not lose patience with yourself, this type of work takes patience, concentration and willingness to face our most inner selves. Do not be too hard on yourself either! Being attuned to all of Nature and our Mother brings rewards on many many levels.
