Coffee is slowly brewing,
as the sun begins to shine.
Birds are singing everywhere,
along with this heart of mine.
The morning chores are waiting,
as they do each day I live.
My hungry pets must all be fed,
as much food as I can give.
I need to water the garden
and clean the house today.
The lawn needs to the mowed,
and trash removed without delay.
Somehow the chores will all get done,
of this I can be sure.
The good Lord always sees fit
to give me the strength to endure.
But first I'll sit, watch the sunrise
and give a morning prayer.
Wait for that first cup of Coffee,
and smell the country air.
