~Silverbird~
Looking out through the window
Leaves falling slowly on the ground
Eyes peering to the sky
I see a silverbird, in the silhouette of the moon
Just free above the earth
Embraced by the night winds
Looking down on Earth Mother
She flies so high into the clouds
Where our native brothers dwell
She watches us dancing in joy
And crying in sorrow
Through the reflections of streams
It sings the song of Angels
My spirit fills with it's light
She glides slowly and softly
On the creators hands
My soul stands hypnotized watching
I am lost in the goodness
Gleaming with it's reflections
I hear it's sweet music once again
How it feeds my spirit
The silverbird smiles down on me
My skin feels touched
Yet I hold no one
Our spirits touch
And my heart beats life for two
The distance holds no meaning
Earth Mother turns
She bares witness to our kindred joining
We become one
While time stands still
Time seems to be our ally
For two that have created the light for one
So we join under the skies of passion
Only to find serenity and peace
In the flower our hearts created
It leaves the scent of desire
Taking our spirits beyond mortal ecstasy
And the silverbird flies away
With both our spirits intertwined in love
To be shared not of flesh
But eternal light.....

When thou seest an eagle, thou seest a portion of genius; lift up thy head!
~ Blake, William
Seagulls are heavy in the front and light in the  back. They experience less wind resistance when  they face into the wind. When you see them at the  beach on a windy day facing the same direction,  they are trying to minimize the wind's resistance  by facing into the wind.
