You will need:
Pinecones
household liquid bleach
large bucket
glass plate
a rock or brick
foil lined baking sheet
Best done outside in a well-ventilated area.
Do not splash bleach. Work carefully.
Place pinecones in bucket; add bleach to cover. Place plate on top of pinecones and weight with rock or brick to keep the pinecones covered with the bleach. Allow to sit for five hours. Remove pinecones from bleach (use gloves) and place on baking sheet covered with foil.
Place in 250 degree oven for several hours until they reopen completely. The time will depend on how large the pinecone is.
You can leave them as is or you can put glitter or fake snow on the tips. You could even paint them. The ideas are endless.
Uses:You can use these in baskets, glue on wreaths or solo as ornaments with ribbon glued on the top. They would look lovely among your garland or even on your tree itself.
So remember while December brings the only Christmas day, in the year let there be Christmas in the things you do and say.--Anonymous
Use a cookie cutter to cut a heart shape from a sheet of natural beeswax. Wrap the heart in cheesecloth and infuse it with a few drops of Rose Otto. Place the wrapped heart in a plastic bag for a week. Remove and discard the cloth and glue a ribbon hanger to the back of the heart. You can even decorate it with dried flowers and a bow. Hang it in the kitchen or even the bath!!
