All of us desire for a place to belong. Many of us continually seek for the
right group of people, in the right place, doing and saying the right things
that will provide us with joy. Why is that so hard to find for some people?

We find a group of people that seem to resonate for awhile, and then, darnit,
some insensitive human goes and says something really stupid, or worse:
ignores us altogether.  That often causes us to leave that group of people  in
search of yet another. Then another.

We are ALWAYS given the right group of people, in the right place, at the
right time. We are never anywhere at random. If you buy an airplane ticket to New
York, chances are good, that's where you will end up. If you go through life
with certain thoughts, you will end up in places that will show you them to
you (good and bad). We never see anything not meant for our eyes, or hear
anything not meant for our ears.

If you are seeing something, feeling something, hearing something that
offends you, it is given from You to you as a blessing. More often than not, our
response is to quit. Then, our Ego's talk to us endlessly about how justified we
are for quitting. We like this talk. It makes us feel good.
and when it happens again, we will have forgotten the last opportunity that
came to us.

What if we gave it three days? Three quiet days of honest introspection. What
if we could take responsibility for what we are seeing and hearing in others?
What if by the third day, our heart blossomed with new understanding? What
if we just surrendered the pain we find over and over and over again. What if
we planted ourselves and waited patiently for a happy and peaceful flower to
grow.

Our journey home is about Self realization.

Our wheels are so worn.  We search and seek, and turn, and circle back so
often that we have lost our way. North is within.

All of your disappointments were supposed to cause you to see yourself. Not
judge others. All of your rage was suppose to cause you to reflect, not
seperate. All of your disenchantment with the world is not because the world is mean.

It is because you continually fail to recognize that you are strong. You are
strong enough to allow the blessings that appear in different forms. You are
strong enough to pause and know yourself. You are strong enough to be who you
are, in the center of anything.

The next time you are tempted to quit, or resign, or unsub, or disappear,
take a sacred moment to pause and ask yourself this: "What did I not receive with
this group, or these people,  that I am sure I will get somewhere else?" If
you have a good answer for this, then be on your way (your suitcases are
already packed). If you don't, please take three days.

Stick it out. Ask the tougher questions. Give it a chance. Be patient.
Forgive and recognize that which deepens your unhealed wounds.

You always belong right where you are. Brand new experieces will open up to
you as soon as you have properly managed the old ones from your own heart and
mind.
