God penned upon a mother's heart,
a rare , melodious song;
Beautiful, timeless hymn of love,
children sing their whole lives long.
Mother's possess a healing touch,
special gifts they gladly share;
Love always unconditional,
for 'tis God who placed it there.
He created in her a sixth sense,
of unique, amazing design;
Faith so strong and tenacious,
that mountain~moving kind.
No heart is as tender as mother's,
like a lovely, dew~kiss'd rose;
When her children have a problem,
somehow mother just always knows.
Then her heart becomes an altar,
which holds each burden & care;
AND, nothing moves the heart of God,
more than a mother's prayer.
So ~ mothers deserve a special day,
to acknowledge their value and worth;
And, thank God for this precious gift,
Our dearest treasure on earth !
