You will need a wire ring in desired size, florist's wire, cinnamon sticks, bay leaves, assorted sprigs of kitchen herbs (rosemary, thyme, sage, parsley, lavender, lemon balm, and mint), wire cutters, and ribbon.

Gather together three or four sprigs of the same herb, then wind a short length of wire around the stems to secure them.

Place the bunch on the ring. Secure another bunch of herbs in the same fashion, place them close to the initial sprigs, then wrap the wire end around the ring.

Continue in this fashion until the entire ring is covered. Use small bunches of cinnamon sticks to cover any bare spots, then finish with a ribbon bow. Note: for better flexibility and working ease, soak dried herb sprigs in cold water for one hour before you begin.
Kitchen Wreath
"It is better to ask some of the questions than to know all of the answers."
--James Thurber
Stuff a small paper bag with newspaper and tie with a string, leaving a couple of inches at the top. Paint the stuffed part of the bag orange(pumpkin) and the top brown (stem), and let dry. Cut a leaf shape out of green construction paper and glue it to the base of the stem. Wrap green or brown pipe cleaners around the stem to make vines. You can also make this a jack-o-lantern by painting a face on your pumpkin.
