Menorah Wall Hanging
You can add a flame each Hanukkah night
And you won't need a match to make the candlelight
What You Need:
marker
ruler
yellow, dark blue, and white felt
scissors
12” x 18” blue poster board (or a piece of cardboard painted blue)
white glue
Velcro™
hole punch
18” piece of cord or string
Directions:
Make the candles: Cut nine 3" x 1" candles from white felt.
Make the flames: Cut 9 flame shapes from yellow felt.
Make the candleholders: From the dark blue felt, cut eight 2” squares and one 3" x 2" rectangle for the bottom of the candles.
Assemble the menorah: Take the blue poster board and place it on a flat surface. Glue the dark blue felt candleholders along the lower edge by spacing them equally apart and placing the larger candleholder in the middle or at either end for the shammash.
Attach the candles: Glue a white felt candle above each holder.
Attach the Velcro: Cut 9 small! Velcro strips and glue 1 side above each candle. Glue the matching Velcro strip to the back of each yellow felt flame.
Attach the hanging cord: Punch 2 holes along the top of the poster board, close to either end. Tie the ends of the cord or string through the holes, and your menorah is ready for hanging.
Add a felt "flame" to your hanging menorah each night of Hanukkah – and don't forget the shammash!

Hanukkah blessing recited all eight nights just prior to lighting the candles:
Baruch atah Adonai, Eloheinu melech ha-olam, asher kid'shanu b'mitzvotav v'tzivanu l'hadlik neir (shel) chanukah.
Translation: "Praised are You, Lord our God, King of the Universe, Who sanctified us with His commandments and commanded us to kindle the Hanukkah lights."
